Job Description Department: Nursing Title: Health Internship Nurse Reports to:preceptor nurse, charge nurse, Head Nurse. Accountable to:Head nurse, Area Supervisor, ACNO, and CNO. JOB SUMMARY: Personnel
who assist in providing nursing care, and Work within
the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients. Become
a role model in promoting a positive work environment and quality patient care.
All duties will be performed under the direct supervision of preceptor staff nurse
or charge nurse. Responsibilities and duties:· Provide direct and safe care to an
assigned group of patients under the supervision of an RN Preceptor. · Work in hospitals, nursing departments
and departmental policies. |
· Use nursing processes to collaborate
with healthcare Team that implements and documents individualized care plans that
incorporate age-specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient
and family education.
· Administration of medications, including
intravenous medications, to fulfill the Seven Rights; Document and communicate clinical
findings.
· Support for specific tests and procedures;
ensure proper consent has been obtained. · Help uphold, support, and implement
the department's and hospitals' mission and goals. · Maintaining a therapeutic and environment
comfortable safe, for families/patients in accordance with of standards hospital. · Support or initiate emergency measures
in the event of sudden and unfavorable developments in patients. |
· Enhance professional growth and development
through participation in Educational programs, read current literature, attend church
services, meetings and workshops.
· Perform tasks and associated responsibilities
as needed. · Follow policies of patient safety,
protocols and procedures. · Demonstrate a proactive approach to
patient safety by exploring ways to improve patient safety by challenging current
policies and processes. Management Responsibilities:· Assist in physician’s Rounds. · Ensure physician’s instructions are
carried out without undue delays. · Assign patients by acute level. · Must be know the following protocols:
· Fire and safety policy. · Disaster policy. · Code blue policy. |
Qualification :
Education:
· Successfully completed undergraduate nursing education (bachelor) from
an accredited faculty of nursing in Egypt.
Skills:
·
Basic nursing skills.
·
English communication skill is preferred.
·
Computer skill is preferred.
Experience:
Non
Training:
· Complete induction
program of (.....), nursing specific orientation and unit specific orientation.
· Uphold and support
the mission statement and vision of (.....).
· BLS is mandatory.
Communication and Interpersonal skills:
· Follow the
paper channels of communication according to the department organizational chart.
